Big Venue Book is committed to achieving the best accessibility for all our users including those with diminished vision or fine motor skills. The following accessibilty information should assist you in using this website.

Text Size & Page Zoom

Big Venue Book use the percentage font size method, with the exception of graphical text. Using the percentage text size you can increase or decrease the font size with only a marginal design difference. Alongside this most browsers offer a page zoom feature to increase/decrease the overall page size. The following guide is written for PC users however Mac users can adapt the ctrl key for their option key.

For Internet Explorer Users

  • Page Zoom: Click the View button at the top of the Internet Explorer window, scroll to the Zoom sub-menu and then click the percent size you want.
  • Text Size: Click the View button at the top of the Internet Explorer window, scroll to the text size sub-menu and then click the size you want.

For Firefox Users

  • Page Zoom: To zoom in, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '+'; to zoom out, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '-'; to reset the page, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '0'.
  • Text Size: First, at the top of the Firefox window on the menu bar, click the View menu, scroll to the Zoom sub-menu, and select Zoom Text Only. Now to increase, decrease or reset the text size use the same controls as Page Zoom.

For Opera Users

  • Page Zoom: For Opera users you have only have the option to increase/decrease the page zoom. To do this simply press the '+' button to zoom in and '-' to zoom out.

For Safari Users

  • Page Zoom: To zoom in, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '+'; to zoom out, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '-'; to reset the page, press and hold 'Ctrl' while pressing '0'.
  • Text Size: First, near the top right of the Safari window the menu for the current page, click the page menu, scroll to the Zoom sub-menu, and select Zoom Text Only. Now to increase, decrease or reset the text size use the same controls as Page Zoom.

  • All images have descriptive alternative text (also known as alt tags), with the exception of images that are used for aesthetic reasons only such as spacing.
