The County Hotel

The County Hotel is a three-star traditional hotel in the centre of Carlisle. It is a popular venue for business events and private celebrations alike, from meetings and conferences to parties and celebrations.

There is a choice of four meeting rooms in which to host your business function. With capacity for 2 to 120 delegates, it’s great for smaller interviews and board meetings as well as bigger conferences, training sessions and seminars. Resident and non-resident DDR's include the use of a TV and DVD player, a white board and pens, stationery, and a choice of a buffet or a three-course lunch. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and a helpful team at hand to assist with the planning and smooth running of your event.

The function rooms are also available for private celebrations of all kinds, from birthday bashes to christening parties, from anniversary celebrations to graduations. The hotel has played host to many weddings, with packages available and experienced staff to help organise your big day and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

The Gallerie Restaurant provides an agreeable setting for breakfasts and for dinner from the A La carte menu, whilst guests can opt for something lighter from the bar menu in Portland’s Residents Bar.
