Doggett's Coat and Badge
A charming inn on the banks of the River Thames, packed with unique character and an upbeat traditional pub vibe, just a leisurely saunter from Blackfriars Bridge and Stamford Street. A lovely location for all sorts of business meetings and events – conferences, presentations, celebratory dinners, networking receptions, and executive pow wows.
Strange name? It comes from Thomas Doggett, organiser of a rowing race on the Thames; winners were awarded a coat and a badge and with its South Bank location it’s quite apt that this almost 300-year-old tradition is honoured in the name of this quirky venue. 3 rooms accommodate all manner of events; pick the Terrace Bar to host a lively drinks reception for up to 120 guests, for dining for 40 or a meeting for 30. Doggett’s Bar can accommodate 100 standing, 80 for a conference, and 70 dining, whilst the Boardroom is perfect for executive meetings for 24 or for corporate receptions for 50. There’s also a wonderful garden terrace with views of the river – perfect for those summer parties and seated buffets for 90.
There’s a tempting menu of British pub fare with a bit of modern oomph, and a dedicated fish menu – after all, Doggett’s Coat and Badge is a speciality Fish House. An attentive team will help to plan and run your event and ensure that it’s glitch free. Don’t miss out on the great value day delegate packages – they include complimentary wifi, a projector and screen, flipchart, paper and pens, morning and afternoon refreshments and a buffet lunch.
Take a short stroll across Blackfriars Bridge to Doggett’s Coat and Badge.
