This is one of those big imposing hotels that are typical of busy seaside resorts in England; classic in term of style and service, the sort of thing that you can’t go wrong with if you’re looking for a venue for a wedding or private celebration, or for a business meeting or event. It’s reliable, a good all-rounder, and with 5 meeting rooms and capacity for up to 350 guests it’s a winner for all kinds of corporate events from conferences, product launches and awards ceremonies to training days, gala dinners and presentations.

The largest room is the Warbreck Suite which holds 350 in theatre style or for a banquet; the Derby Suite seats 220 delegates in theatre style, 200 in cabaret arrangement and 180 dining, and the Savoy Suite has capacity for 120 people in theatre style and 80 for a banquet or a cabaret style event. Going down in size again, the Cumbrian Suite seats 80 delegates in theatre style and 60 for dinner, whilst the Herald Suite holds 50 and 30 in the same layouts respectively, or 20 in boardroom style.

You’ll have a dedicated team on hand to help with all the nitty gritty and to make sure your event runs smoothly, and there’s complimentary high speed WIFI and audio-visual equipment arranged to suit your event; expect a good choice of menu options.

The 145 guest bedrooms are well sized and have free wifi, a TV, and a tea and coffee tray; ask if you want sea views as not all rooms have them. Go to the Albany Bar, which is open all day, for quiet drinks and snacks, or to Gilberts Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, where there’s a menu to suit all tastes. In good old British seaside hotel traditions, they have a resident organist and vocalist so if you’re lucky you might catch some in-house entertainment.

The Savoy Hotel has 60 free onsite parking spaces; the nearest train station is just over a mile away (Blackpool) and the nearest airport is Manchester, about an hour and a quarter’s travelling time.
