Museum of London Docklands

Museum of London Docklands

The calm interiors of the Museum of London Docklands make a wonderful setting for any business meeting or event. A listed Georgian warehouse is an undeniably romantic backdrop for weddings and is also superb for exhibitions, team building events, training days, presentations, conferences, AGMs, executive meetings, private dining, banquets, receptions and parties, with a maximum capacity of 800 guests.

Outside is a riverside terrace and the Canary Wharf skyline; inside are exposed brick walls, pitch pine columns and original shuttered windows. Plenty of historic industrial character, which is nice. The Museum of London Docklands showcases London’s story and the changes the docklands area has seen over hundreds of years.

For larger events for up to 800 guests, hire the entire ground floor; for up to 400 standing or 200 sat down book the Muscovado Hall, with its own bar and access to the terrace - a good space for breakfast meetings and evening events. On the third floor the Wilberforce Room holds a maximum of 273 people and comes with cutting-edge audio-visual technology and black out facilities.

Going down in size, the Sugar Store on the ground floor can hold up to 250 guests standing or 100 in cabaret style; it’s often used as breakout space for events held on the upper floors. Likewise the Quayside, on the third floor and often booked alongside the Wilberforce Room; it has great views, is flooded with natural light and seats 70. The Rum Store seats 80 folk in cabaret style and is on the ground floor, with access to the terrace.

The Boardroom on the first floor has a quiet ambience and is perfect for discreet meetings or private lunches for up to 16 people. You can also opt for dining among the artefacts in the No 1 Gallery, and you can treat your guests to a visit to Sailortown; an interactive experience of a recreated Victorian wharf with narrow alleyways, a tavern and a wild animal emporium.

There’s an attentive team on hand to help plan and run your event, the venue has superfast wifi of course, and a range of menus for daytime and evening functions comes courtesy of award-winning catering partners.

Museum of London Docklands is close to Canary Wharf tube station, West India Quay DLR and Canary Wharf Pier; there’s a car park just behind the museum.
