Trunkwell House Hotel

Just 45 minutes from London and 7 miles from Reading, Trunkwell House Hotel is a fabulous venue for weddings, and occasions, business meetings and events come rain or shine. Because it’s privately owned it has a very ‘exclusive’ feel about it and set in 34 acres of lush Berkshire countryside it’s an idyllic location for summer and Christmas parties, networking receptions, conferences, exhibitions, training days, awards ceremonies, gala dinners, team buildings, board meetings and private dining, with capacity for 10-350 guests.

The event space consists of a private dining room, and a permanent marquee in the grounds, but don’t think that means fairweather events only – far from it as the marquee is heated and weather proof; they really are rather special, with heaps of natural light, neutral linings, carpets, a PA system and a window wall. The Garden Marquee can host up to 500 delegates in theatre style, 350 people for a reception or dinner-dance, and 200 in cabaret arrangement. It even has its own bar.

In the house, the elegant private dining room seats a maximum of 40 guests and can also be hired for smaller conferences and boardroom meetings. Those 34 acres of grounds really come into their own for outdoor events like BBQs, hog roasts and family fun days, and of course, they’re the scene of many a happy team building event, with a plethora of activities on offer - treasure hunts, inflatables, archery, quad bikes, and laser clays to name just a few.

Trunkwell House Hotel has high speed wifi, and an Events Team with over 25 years of experience behind them; they’re quite used to helping out with events for some very big names, so they’ll work hard to make sure your event is a resounding success, with audio-visual equipment and menus arranged to suit your requirements. The venue does offer some attractively priced corporate packages so it’s worth having a look at them.

Trunkwell House Hotel has 7 boutique style bedrooms; if you have several overnight delegates it will be easy to find further accommodation nearby, with plenty of choice in Reading itself. There is parking for 200+ cars at the hotel, and J11 of the M4 is only about 5 minutes away.
