For those who don’t know, HMS Warrior was the largest and most powerful warship of Queen Victoria’s fleet, now in its permanent resting site in Portsmouth Harbour, housed by the National Museum of the Royal Navy. This historic venue sets the scene for unforgettable events for up to 240 guests and offers a unique atmosphere for meetings and conferences, product launches, team building days and banquets. It’s a very atmospheric backdrop for summer parties and weddings and can be booked for photoshoots and filming.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy is home to several of Britain’s treasures and sets out the fascinating history of the Royal Navy from its inception to the present day. Their unique collection of venues in the UK provides a memorable experience for events both large and small.

HMS Warrior has 4 event spaces, the largest being the Main Gun Deck which makes a superb setting for drinks receptions for 240 people. The Half Deck accommodates 60 guests, and the smaller Officer’s Wardroom and Captains’ Cabin are wonderful for more discreet meetings and private dining for up to 18. The venue has a music licence, a bar and outdoor space; AV equipment and catering can be arranged to suit your event; worth looking at are the Delegate Day Rates.

HMS Warrior is just a 5 minute stroll from Portsmouth Harbour train station and less than 3 hours from London by rail. There are car parks close by.

The Massive Gun Deck, the fighting citadel of the ship, is an ideal setting for those in search of a venue with a difference for the larger gathering. Having wandered four decks of the ship, with Quartermasters and guides on hand to provide information for the enquiring mind, guests then take dinner on the Gun Deck in unique surroundings, absorbing the 1860 atmosphere where six hundred Victorian sailors worked, ate and slept.

For parties with a maximum of 60 guests, the Officers Half Deck provides a more intimate environment for your function. Adjacent to the Captain’s Cabin, guests can dine from banquet tables surrounded by 370 Enfield rifles and Navy Colt Revolvers.
