Following a recent refurbishment all 17 spaces have been fully renovated to an exceptional standard and provide all the flexibility and creativity required to create an event your guests will never forget. Many kinds of events can be held here, large or small, from weddings, parties, conferences and meetings. The events team are on hand to assist you with everything from catering, decorations, seating plans and layouts.

The largest space is the Ballroom. At 885sqm, formerly the staff dining room for the Refuge Assurance, it is the largest single space in a hotel in the northwest of England and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests theatre or reception style, 800 for a wedding and 500 classroom style. It can be utilized with smaller adjacent rooms, has its own private bar and entrance – a truly grand space. The wonderfully flexible Whitworth room is function at its best. It can become 3 rooms and can be used in conjunction with the ballroom. Beautifully lit by double height windows and with its own bar this space can be used for many functions and can accommodate 650 for a reception and 450 theatre style.

Featuring the most original features within the entire hotel are the Oak and Directors rooms, lined with exquisite wood paneling and marble fireplaces these rooms really do create a unique environment for up to 100 guests. In addition to the larger rooms are 7 smaller Clock Tower meeting rooms, traditional but with modern amenities for more intimate events and can cater for up to 60 theatre style.

In keeping with the traditional décor of the hotel, the 270 bedrooms also incorporate the element of the era but with modern comforts and furnishings. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hotel.
