Wherstead Park

Wherstead Park is an imposing Grade II listed Georgian mansion house enjoying a village location close to Ipswich. Set in glorious countryside, yet within easy reach of major routes, this historic venue offers superb facilities for a seamless business meeting or private gathering.

This place combines period style with all mod cons to perfection; it can accommodate any type of corporate get together from larger conferences, presentations and product launches, to training sessions, brainstorming events and board meetings.

The glass ceilinged Atrium can host up to 500 delegates in reception style and 350 in theatre layout, with the Mansion house used alongside for breakout space. Within the Mansion House itself are 12 adaptable meeting spaces, all with admirable period features and classic styling. The Vernon and Harland Rooms can host up to 65 people, whilst the light and airy Orwell Room seats up to 40 in theatre style or 8 for a board meeting.

With extensive views over the grounds and the countryside beyond, the Shotley Suite can seat up to 16, as can the elegant Board Room, with its lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. Additionally, there is the flexible Samford Suite with capacity for 24, and The George Canning Function Room which is ideal for a board meeting for up to 14.

Wherstead Park has public hi-speed wifi, and offers the best in hi-tech audio visual equipment, including 55” LED screens, and in the Atrium, a full stage and backlit 16,000 lumen projector. There are DDP’s for full days, half days or evenings, to include onsite parking, stationery, refreshments, and catering options to suit your budget. A dedicated events manager will take care of all the finer details for you and ensure the faultless running of your event.

With the beautiful landscaped grounds overlooking the River Orwell, Wherstead Park is a fantastic venue for a fairytale wedding, with plenty of opportunity for stunning photographs amidst the classic splendour of these breath taking surroundings. This is of course, a magnificent setting for sumptuous private events of all kinds – a big birthday bash, anniversary celebration, christening, prom, summer fayre or a funeral gathering.

The venue works with renowned and respected caterers who can produce a bespoke menu for any occasion, from finger buffets to mouth watering 3 course meals, with any dietary needs taken into account.
