The Swan Hotel
Built in 1650 as a coaching inn and now one of the oldest hotels in the Lake District, The Swan Hotel with its amazing views, rural location and cosy atmosphere is an ideal venue for those wanting to get away from the bustle of the city and enjoy a meeting or conference in an inspiring and picturesque setting. It is also licensed for Civil Ceremonies.
Just 25 minutes from Windemere Station, The Swan Hotel has everything you need for an event for up to 50 guests. Rooms are equipped with AV equipment, Wi-Fi throughout and both rooms are flooded with natural daylight, comfortably appointed and provide a relaxing and motivating atmosphere for your guests. The Cygnet Room can comfortably seat 50 guests and the Fell View Room seats 20 guests. For weddings and larger events, a marquee can be erected outside – you can also hire the entire hotel exclusively for up to 65 guests.
With cosy, comfortable bedrooms to relax and unwind in, large private grounds and gardens plus delicious locally produced food in the restaurant it is a fantastic choice as a base for exploring the nearby countryside and Lake District National Park.
