The Horniman at Hays

The Horniman at Hays

A quirky venue with traditional pub ambience and heaps of history; built on the site of a tea dealer’s warehouse, The Horniman at Hays is just a leisurely amble from London Bridge tube and close to HMS Belfast. Hire these upbeat and relaxing spaces for informal business meetings and events for up to 500 guests.

Formerly the ‘Larder of London’, Hay’s Wharf was the biggest and oldest wharf in the Port of London; this lovely old storehouse has been sympathetically converted and is packed with unique character and eclectic interiors; wall friezes on bare brick walls depict the travels of the tea dealer who traded here, a mix of industrial lighting, warm wood floors and decorative pillars add to the cosy atmosphere.

Hire the ground floor Wharfeside Bar for drinks receptions and buffets for up to 150 people and watch your guests happily mingling. It has its own entrance and bar and also accommodates 100 diners or 75 delegates for a meeting or conference. The Mezzanine area is great for drinks parties for 120 guests or private dining for 64. Hire the entire venue for receptions or parties with an undeniable buzz, for up to 500 people standing.

The team at The Horniman at Hays are welcoming and attentive and will happily cater for all kinds of events, from buffets to 3 course dinners; tuck in to top notch pub food, complimented with an inspiring selection of real ales and wines. Day delegate rates are attractively priced and include complimentary wifi, a projector and screen, flip chart, paper and pens, refreshments and a buffet lunch. They’ll also do breakfasts and traditional afternoon tea.
