A popular Hertfordshire golf club with a 17th century stately mansion and 300 acres of immaculately kept grounds including mature woodlands and two championship golf courses. Understandably, a hot spot for weddings and corporate events, with golf days really coming into their own. With capacity for 250 delegates this is a great venue for product launches, conferences, seminars, training sessions, awards ceremonies, gala dinners, champagne receptions and board meetings.

The feel is distinctly heritage, yet it’s not lacking in up-to-the-minute facilities; heaps of period features, opulent décor with flock wallpaper, stunning chandeliers and sumptuous drapes. Choose from seven very individual rooms suited to a range of events, with the biggest being the impressive Main Hall, lavish and elegant with huge paintings, ornate plasterwork and luxurious seating; it holds 150 guests in theatre style or 250 for a reception, with the central space becoming a large dance floor for evening events.

The Main Dining Room exudes grandeur with exquisite chandeliers and a gorgeously decorative ceiling; it seats 150 people in theatre style and 132 for a glittering dinner. Attached to the Main Hall, the Thornhill Room has a wonderful carved fireplace, admirable artwork and spectacular views, and seats 90 delegates in theatre style or 64 for dinner. The slightly smaller Arnhem Room seats up to 80 guests in theatre style or 24 for a board meeting.

The Orangery is housed in a wing off the main house and boasts a dance floor and bar, making it adaptable to all kinds of events; it accommodates 100 guests standing, 150 in theatre style and 70 for dinner. The sophisticated Grosvenor Room has a linked function room which gives you the perfect space for breakout sessions and refreshments; it seats 30 delegates in theatre style and 15 in boardroom layout. The Wolsey Room is ideal for those smaller, more discreet meetings, holding 25 in theatre style and 16 in board room configuration
