National Marine Aquarium

With marine conservation at the forefront this Plymouth based charity offers a spectacular venue not only for weddings and parties, but also for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, awards ceremonies, training days, networking receptions, banquets and all manner of smaller executive meetings.

A magical underwater world awaits you at your breakfast meeting, daytime conference, or gala dinner. Choose from 10 meeting rooms, all completely flexible when it comes to layout and theming, with a maximum capacity of 80 guests. The biggest space is The Deck on the top floor, holding 200 delegates in theatre style or 150 in cabaret arrangement. This is within the Education Centre, which also has three smaller rooms for a maximum of 40-50 guests.

The aptly named Horizon Suite gives you panoramic views that stretch out over the water to the coastal horizons; light and spacious, it’s the perfect choice for parties and receptions. This room seats 80 delegates in theatre style, 60 in cabaret layout and 28 for a board meeting. Book it with the Horizons Bar and Lounge for breakouts, refreshment and lunches, with room again for 80 people.

The Waterfront Suite holds 40 guests in theatre style, 30 in cabaret, and 20 in boardroom configuration, and has an outlook over the historic barbican and Plymouth Sound; an inspiring setting for any training session, conference or board meeting, with its own breakout lounge and balcony.

Bring wow factor to your banquets, drinks receptions and awards presentations among the exhibits, allowing your guests to get a close up view of some of the world’s most fascinating sea creatures. For bigger events for up to 180 folk choose the scintillating blue backdrop of the Eddystone Reef Exhibit; for smaller functions it’s a difficult decision - the Shark Tunnel with its curved glass ceiling accommodates maximum numbers of 60, or the excitingly colourful Blue Planet full of exotic marine life seats up to 40. Throw in a private tour from a trained host or push the boat out (excuse the pun) and hire the whole aquarium to seriously impress 100-1500 guests.

National Marine Aquarium has high speed wi-fi, cutting edge audio-visual technology, and a dedicated team on hand to help organise and run your event. Day delegate, 24 hour, or bespoke packages are available, and menu options cover all types of event. Park at the Harbour Car Park, or VIP parking can be arranged right opposite the venue.
