The Place Hotel
Old meets new at The Place Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel set in a gorgeous Georgian terrace in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. With capacity for 400 people, this is everything you’d expect from an elegant metropolitan hotel, which is why it’s a firm favourite for weddings and for business meetings and events to include conferences, product launches, awards ceremonies and board meetings, as well as those more sociable affairs like networking receptions, banquets, dinner-dances, and summer and festive parties.
Of the 5 flexible event spaces at The Place Hotel, the largest is The York, with a huge capacity of 400 guests for a reception or 220 dining. The Raeburn can host drinks for 200 folk, theatre style events for 170, or banqueting for 120, and it seats 90 in classroom or cabaret layout. The heated Terrace is perfect for drinks for 180 or dinners for 98, with big screen sports available on request.
Back inside, The Broughton holds 150 for a champagne reception or in theatre style, 90 banqueting, 64 in cabaret style and 44 in U-shape or boardroom arrangement. The smallest room is The Baird, with space for 50 guests for a standing buffet or in theatre style, 36 dining and 20 for executive meetings.
Expect an impressive blend of original historic features, modern décor and first-class facilities. AV technology comes state-of-the-art, wifi is complimentary and menus to suit all manner of events are courtesy of a very creative in-house team. You’ll be in the safe hands of a well-versed events team who will make sure that all runs smoothly.
The Place Hotel has 47 individually styled bedrooms, and a sophisticated restaurant and bar. Car parks are only a short walk away, as is Waverley train station, and Edinburgh International Airport is 20 minutes by car.
