Malmaison Edinburgh is down on the waterfront in trendy Leith, a very upbeat part of the city; it is a favourite for cosmopolitan weddings and is popular for business meetings and events, with capacity for up to 100 guests.

Malmaison Edinburgh used to be a seaman’s mission but now it is a cool boutique style hotel with stylishly quirky interiors and top-notch facilities. Great for conferences, product launches, exhibitions, training sessions, team building days, AGMs and board meetings, as well as those more sociable events like drinks receptions, dinner-dances, and corporate shindigs.

There are five meeting rooms; Mal One seats 15 people in theatre style or 12 dining; Mal two holds 18 and 14 in the same respective layouts and Mal Three accommodates 45 delegates in theatre style and dining, 24 in boardroom configuration and 18 in U-shape. Mal Four is the biggest room, with space for 100 for drinks, 85 in theatre style, 66 dining, or 32 for a board meeting. Mal Five is the Wine Tasting Room; it seats 12 guests theatre style, 10 in boardroom layout and 14 for wine tasting events, so if you’re looking for team building activities that’s a good option, or you can plump for cocktail tasting or a tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia.

Wifi is free and up-to-the-minute AV equipment can be set up to suit your event. Catering comes via creative in-house chefs and covers all possibilities from working lunches to formal banquets. There are well-priced delegate packages, and for overnight guests, 100+ individually styled bedrooms. There is also a brasserie, cocktail bar and waterside terrace.
