Royal Navy Submarine Museum
If you're looking for an unusual venue for your next business meeting or event, the Royal Navy Submarine Museum could well be the answer. On the waterfront at Gosport Harbour with a maximum capacity of 100 guests, the atmospheric setting will make a lasting impression on those attending a conference, awards ceremony, product launch or banquet held here.
Part of the National Museum of the Royal Navy, the venue is reached from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard in just a few minutes by waterbus. The NMRN has a fascinating collection of exhibits and artefacts detailing the story of the Royal Navy from its beginnings to the present day, including the nation’s most iconic warships.
Dive deep into the world of submarines at either of the two hire spaces at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum; for smaller events for up to 12 people, HMS Alliance is the only remaining submarine in the country from the WWII era. Your guests can explore the narrow corridors and decks, look through the original periscope and listen to stories from the men who served onboard. Other notable vessels, Holland I and X24 are also on display, giving an incredible insight into life on a submarine.
The John Fieldhouse room is a futuristic setting that’s home to the museum’s collection of artefacts and art and has views across Gosport Harbour. Holding 100 standing or 96 seated this is a one-of-a-kind venue for conferences, lectures and receptions. AV equipment and catering can be arranged to suit your requirements, there’s a bar, music licence and outdoor space.
