Just a few miles from Chelmsford, this magnificent Georgian house is set in 35 acres of picturesque grounds in the Essex countryside, and wow, what a venue! A tree lined avenue approach, a huge mirrored lake at the front of the house; the perfect backdrop for romantic wedding photos. Inside it’s a dream; high ceilings, ornate plasterwork, oak panelling, centuries old fireplaces, and a splendid sweeping staircase. There are 5 event spaces, with both the Pavilion and the Henry VIII Suite holding 500 guests in theatre style, 400 for a reception and 300 for a banquet. The Oak Room accommodates 90 delegates in theatre style, 60 for a reception, 50 for dinner, and 25 in U-shape layout. The Gold Room has capacity for 80 people for a presentation or reception, and 20 in U-shape, and the Lake Room seats 50 in theatre style and 12 in U-shape. The house itself is superb for champagne receptions for 150, and if you have an event running over a few days you can really impress your guests with Exclusive Use; have the whole of this gorgeous house to yourselves and be treated like royalty.

Boreham House is family run and they have a bespoke approach to events, so you can have the theme and menus you want. They have a very talented catering team who are wizards at creating the most delectable dishes whether it’s canapes, a working lunch, or a five-course banquet. You’ll have expert service from the events team from start to finish, and as you’d expect, high speed wi-fi and cutting-edge AV equipment. DDP’s are staggeringly good value for such an amazing venue.

There’s overnight accommodation for 24 guests in the most sumptuous bedrooms, and room for more guests at nearby hotels. Central London is less than 40 miles distant, and there is good access to the A12, M25 and M11.
