The events and meetings side of things at the famous Principality Stadium, with capacity for up to 400 guests; where else in Wales would you hold a big exhibition, conference, product launch, awards ceremony, team building day, glitzy Christmas party, or even your wedding? With top notch facilities, a well-versed event management team, and expert catering and hospitality staff you can’t go wrong.
There are seven large spaces, with the biggest being the Presidents Lounge and the Millennium Lounge, both accommodating 400 guests for a party, 350 in theatre style and 300 for a banquet. The Millenium Lounge has the bonus of views of the River Taff, particularly good for summer events, plus there’s a Riverside Terrace that can accommodate 300 people standing and 220 dining, or 200 in theatre style.
The Clubhouse also has river views and holds 250 guests for a reception, 200 for a conference, and 160 for a gala dinner. The International Player’s Lounge has its own bar and cloakrooms and likewise holds 250 standing, or 100 dining and 80 in theatre style. The St David’s Room is a similar size, with capacity for 220 at a standing buffet, 200 for an awards ceremony, and 160 banqueting. With terrific views of the pitch, The South Stand seats 70 in theatre style or for dinner and holds up to 90 for a reception.
All of these rooms work equally well for smaller events, for example, seating 30-40 in boardroom layout. Then there are 112 hospitality suites, all pitch facing, with doubles accommodating up to 48 people, and singles, 16. Personalise those spaces, dress them to suit your theme, whether it’s a glittering Christmas party or a casino night; hire a DJ or entertainment, with AV equipment tailored to your needs. There’s so much scope to make your event exactly what you want it to be and check out the delegate rates because they offer remarkably good value for money.
Exhibitions? Well, that’s where the Principality Stadium really comes into its own as the retractable roof means you can make full use of the 10,000 square metre main bowl, plus there’s space for kitchens, dining and bar areas, and the venue works with a local exhibition company to get it all set up for you.
Principality Stadium is within easy reach of Cardiff Central train station and is only 45 mins from Cardiff International Airport; there is paid parking close by.
