Located on the campus of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Surgeons' Hall contains a range of flexible venues divided into four distinct areas - Playfair Building, Quincentenary Conference Centre, King Khalid Building and Ten Hill Place Hotel.
The four areas are located in close proximity to each other and have a range of meeting and event spaces for hire for small training sessions and board meetings to private dinners, parties and conferences for up to 300. Spaces vary in style and design from grand and historic to modern and practical.

Playfair Building Built in 1832 and consisting of a main hall and eight meeting rooms, this flagship building contains rooms of grandeur, tastefully and cleverly modified to incorporate up-to-date technology. From a video conference to a gala dinner, the building is suitable for a wide range of events.

We have transformed the former Edinburgh University Language School into three floors of events space, for hosting everything from social events such as birthday parties and weddings to medical conferences and gala dinners.
The building is accessed from our famous pillared entrance opposite the Festival Theatre, through our private gardens into a lobby area.
Inside there are three floors of purpose-built space Three break-outs rooms which can be opened up into one large space, and a cloakroom on the ground floor, a stunning Main Hall with a glass ceiling retaining many of the original features on the first floor and further meeting or exhibition space in the basement.
The Prince Philip Building is a hugely versatile space and sits perfectly between our other venues - the historic grandeur of the Playfair Hall and the glass and chrome modernism of our Quincentenary Conference Centre.
Quincentenary Conference Centre A beautiful modern building adjacent to the historic Playfair Building, the original stonework has been retained and blended with a modern design of granite and steel, creating a wonderful combination of old and new. Quincentenary Conference Centre includes a large main hall suitable for a multitude of purposes – dinner dances, lectures or exhibitions to name a few. The building also includes three large versatile meeting rooms, a spacious reception area, business centre and supporting facilities.
This is a wonderful converted church perfect for lectures, meetings or social events and contains a modern 158 seat auditorium with state-of-the-art AV equipment and an audience voting facility. The reception area provides an ideal area for exhibition stands and the serving of refreshments.
