Devonport Guildhall

A unique venue just 2 miles from Plymouth city centre; run as a social enterprise hub, it’s a stunning backdrop for events such as business meetings, network events, workshops and markets. With a gorgeous blend of history, fabulous Regency architecture and eclectic interiors, where pared back meets splendour.

The Main Hall is a beautiful room with direct access to the colonnaded steps; high ceilings and wonderful stained-glass windows that reflect the building’s history. Facilities include a built-in stage, a PA sound system, projector and screen and event furniture. The Main Hall can cater for up to 180 theatre style.

Holding up to 50 people theatre style, the Mayor’s Parlour on the first floor can be hired on its own or as break out space for larger events; a light and airy room with stylish vintage sofas and big sash windows that give views of the River Tamar. For smaller meetings and break outs book the Meeting Room, which holds up to 6, or opt for the cells, a quirky space with exposed brick and stone walls. The largest of the cells seats 8 and there are two smaller ones for cosier meetings and interviews.

Devonport Guildhall has free high speed wifi and there is lift access within the building; audio-visual equipment can be arranged to suit your event and private bar can also be offered. This venue is suited to self-serve style bookings, where you a set up your own furniture and provide your own refreshments. They can arrange access to a small kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and sink.

Based in their commercial kitchen on the ground floor they have the award winning vegan food producers Hedgerow Hound who as well as running their onsite café, can provide catering for events and lunches. There is free parking close to the building and for those who prefer two wheels, a small bike rack.
