Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle

Steeped in history, Leeds Castle in Kent dates back to Norman times and has been the home of 6 of England’s medieval Queens. Also used by Henry VIII, the Castle now provides a tranquil setting for any corporate event, and the most stunning backdrop for a fairytale wedding.

The 3 function spaces allow your guests to soak up the unique ambience of this ancient stronghold. Surrounded by gorgeous tapestries, eminent paintings and period furniture, the mood is of refined calm, guaranteed to keep your delegates focused. In the Castle itself, the Castle Boardroom seats 25 in theatre style or 16 for a board meeting, whilst the Henry VIII Banqueting Hall, with its medieval setting in oldest part of the castle, is ideal for receptions and banquets for up to 100. The Castle Dining Room seats up to 80 in theatre style or 30 for a board meeting, and an adjoining Library provides excellent break out space.

The Maiden’s Tower, originally a Tudor bake house, offers a charming self-contained function space in a period setting. With capacity for 100 delegates in theatre style or 40 in board layout, The Maiden’s Tower is superb for conferences, presentations or smaller executive meetings. French doors open onto the private garden, often used for summer barbecues. The Tower has sumptuous accommodation with 5 en suite bedrooms; a further 15 rooms are available in the nearby Stable courtyard.

The Garden House, on the original site of the Castle’s kitchen garden, has a delightful meeting room which holds up to 24 delegates, with optional use of a small break out room. Perfect for those more discreet executive gatherings or interviews.

With acres of glorious parkland, Leeds Castle is ideal for Team Building activities; perhaps golf, Go-Ape, Segway, falconry, or archery would break the ice? Or how about a themed event, such as a Henry VIII style banquet?

The Castle embraces the 21st century, with complimentary wifi and state of the art technology. Delegate packages include notepads and pens, refreshments and a buffet lunch, and the venue offers some very enticing event packages – how about a Corporate Firework Spectacular, starting with an elegant afternoon tea and tour of the castle, followed by a fabulous early evening firework display, reception drinks and a three-course dinner.

With ample free parking, Leeds Castle is located 7 miles east of Maidstone, 1 hour from London, and 30 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and Ports.
