Easily reached from Yorkshire’s major routes, this fantastic venue is hard to beat for Corporate Golf Days; set in verdant parkland, it’s a hotspot for weddings and is equally popular for all manner of business meetings and events, including conferences, seminars, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, product launches, training days, trade shows, and interviews.

The top-notch facilities at Darrington Golf Club will delight the enthusiast – a Championship Standard 18-hole course, a 23 bay floodlit and heated driving range, and a well-stocked Pro shop, plus expert tuition from qualified staff. There are 3 very adaptable suites for events, accommodating up to 200 delegates. The bright and airy Fairways Suite has plenty of natural light, big ornate windows, twinkling chandeliers, elegant window drapes and fabulous views out over the grounds to the countryside beyond. The room seats a maximum of 200 guests but can be divided in two with a soundproof partition for events running alongside one another or for breakout sessions. The Trophy Room holds 40 people in theatre style and 25 in boardroom configuration; the feel is relaxed yet professional, with tall leather chairs and a sofa area for more informal moments. There’s natural daylight and direct access to gardens; nothing like a breath of fresh air to keep your delegates focused. For smaller meetings, discussions and interviews, the Ellis Suite is located just off the main lobby and seats 4-6 executives.

Delegate rates start off remarkably low and include conference packs, stationery, screens and flipcharts, and standard audio-visual equipment; on-site catering packages are also very competitively priced and offer a choice of hot or cold buffet lunches, or a two or three course meal.
The Club has complimentary wifi, a copying service, and two fully licensed bars; sound and lighting technology can be hired to suit your event. A well experienced team will help throughout the planning stages of your event, seeing that all goes smoothly right through to the close. The very relaxing Clubhouse Lounge is open every day, serving drinks, light bites and home cooked meals.

With free on-site parking, Darrington Golf Club is close to Pontefract, only 2 miles south of junctions 33 and 32A of the M62, and just off the A1. Leeds and Doncaster are both 20 minutes’ drive away.

The Fairways Suite

    The light and spacious conference facility can accommodate anything up to 200 delegates in a selection of room styles. A perfect room size for large seminars, staff briefings, training sessions and general meetings.

    The room is flooded with natural day light, overlooking the manicured gardens and countryside views. As shown in the above picture, the room has an elegant style and feel to really impress your clients and delegates. The golden draped ceiling height curtains, neutral boarders and plush brown carpets all compliment the great surroundings. Large chandeliers tastefully hang throughout the room as the alcoves reflect the magnitude of light.

    In a relaxed and comfortable setting the room has a modern, rectangular shape with the option of a sound proof partition to split the facility in 2 halves, ideal for separate sessions or exam conditions. The staged area, measuring at 2.4m in length by 1.4m in width is suitable for the host to project videos and presentations along with a stylish lectern to hold your notes and AV equipped.

The Trophy Room

    The trophy room is the latest addition to our facilities, located to the front of the building partitioned by hand built wooden doors with frosted glass to add extra privacy to your conference.

    The room can host up to 25 delates in a boardroom style or 40 theatre layout. With tall leather chairs this room really does impress when entertaining or hosting meetings.

    A natural flow of daylight fills the room with private doors leading direct to the gardens for those summer mid-morning breaks and lunches. A comfortable sofa section by the windows is the ideal way to start your meeting and enjoy a discussion with a hot coffee and bacon roll before business begins.

    Our handmade trophy cabinet sits at the far end of the room which hosts all of our clubs achievements with trophies dating back from 1993. These are a great asset to the club and in pride of place to the palpable named room.

The Ellis Suite

    This suite is ideal for one-to-one interviews or small meetings. It is a private room located just off the main lobby of the clubhouse.

    The room can be used as a temporary office space, interview room or for small business meetings. It has direct access to the printing facilities and a waiting area in the foyer. Lunch or refreshment breaks can be held in the room or in the clubhouse lounge.

    This room is included in all corporate packages for unlimited use.

    The office suite is adjacent to the main Fairways suite, meaning the location is highly practical for a breakout room for organisers using the large suite.

Driving Range

    The development of the range is one of the biggest projects the club has seen since opening in 1993 and with all large developments come challenges. These have been handled with great care and precision to ensure the finished product is that promised from the offset, enabling a fully functional, modern, technical enhanced, 24 bay driving range.

    Premier bays are heated, with extended mirrors, sofa area and wind sheltered. Mike Walker Golf has exclusive access to the 2 private bays at the end of the range. Golf lessons now available by booking in the Pro-shop or emailing.

    Range membership is now available as another feature to our ever expanding club.

    We believe that family meal times should be celebrated - not spent queuing up letting your food go cold. That is why we bring the food to you at your table. A latter of hot tender meat is served ready sliced to your table, with vegetables in warm roasting dishes keeping your food piping hot for you to serve out at the table.

    Our Sunday Roast can be enjoyed from 12pm to 4pm, and booking in advance is advised due to its understandable popularity.
