The Rowley Manor Hotel
This Grade II listed Georgian Manor is tucked away in the East Yorkshire countryside with ample onsite parking, just a few minutes from the A63 and about half an hour from Hull. With 3 function rooms for up to 120 guests and a church that’s almost within the manicured grounds it’s easy to see why they’re so busy with weddings, but it’s also a fine venue for private celebrations and for business meetings and events of all kinds; from conferences, presentations and training days to board meetings, drinks receptions and private dining.
Think high ceilings, open fireplaces, thick curtains, oak panelling, and big windows giving wonderful views of the grounds and croquet lawn. It’s elegant country house ambience, relaxed rather than stuffy. The biggest event space at Rowley Manor is the Garden Suite, which measures nearly 115 square metres and holds 120 guests dining, 100 in theatre style, 48 in cabaret layout and 50 when configured as a boardroom. It’s light and airy with doors that open onto the gardens, and it can be partitioned to make two smaller spaces with the Garden Room accommodating up to 50 people for private dining, and the View Room seating 80 guests in theatre style, 36 in cabaret layout and 40 in boardroom arrangement, or again, 50 for dinner. The smaller and more intimate Pine Room has capacity for 50 delegates in theatre style, 30 dining or 24 for a board meeting. Of course, it can always be hired as break out space alongside an event in the Garden Suite.
They’re big on customer care and attention to detail here so you know you can rely on the management team to help you effect a precision tuned event. The 24 hour and day delegate rates are very reasonable, and you have the option of selecting a meeting package menu or you can have the food tailored to whatever you want. In any case there’ll be free wifi and up-to-the-minute audio-visual equipment to suit your event.
Some of the 16 Victorian styled bedrooms have the most exquisite four poster beds; all have complimentary wi-fi, 22” LCD TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. There’s a lovely bar with an open fire for a relaxing post conference drink, or if the weather’s nice, step out into the garden. The restaurant offers light lunches, afternoon tea and dinner.
