Brighton Harbour Hotel & Spa
You’ll like this, especially if eclectic boutique style is your kind of scene and a good setting is important. Brighton Harbour Hotel and Spa is slap bang on one of the most famous seafronts in the world. Think of it as upbeat luxury for business meetings and events; they do weddings of course, but conferences, awards ceremonies, glitzy dinners, drinks receptions, training days, team building days, AGMs and smaller executive meetings can all be held here, and let’s not overlook the event everyone waits all year for – the office Christmas party!
The reincarnation of this imposing Regency building is nothing short of awesome; interiors are vibrant and colourful, with some fabulous original features, and it all works; you’ll have a great backdrop to your corporate event. There are two meeting rooms, with The Marine being the biggest and having a top capacity of 160 delegates for a networking reception, 110 in theatre style, 99 dining and 56 in cabaret arrangement; it can seat 40 round a board table and 34 in U-shape, so there’s in-built flexibility for sure. The cosy Snug is great for smaller soirees, with room for 30 people for drinks and in theatre style, 18 for private dining, 16 at a board meeting, 12 in cabaret style, and 10 in U-shape. Both rooms have the benefit of natural light and high speed wifi, and AV equipment can be arranged to suit your event. You’ll have the services of an attentive team, and bespoke menus from creative in-house chefs.
Overnight delegates? No problem, plus you’ll get discounted rates. All 79 bedrooms are bright and colourful in a rather quirky, trendy way. At least half of them have views of the beach or the sea, and all have TVs, Nespresso coffee machines and 24 hour room service. Hotel guests can have posh fish and chips from the seaside inspired menu at the in-house Harby’s Diner & Bar, and they get complimentary use of the amazing subterranean spa - built within old smuggler’s tunnels beneath the seafront! There’s a heated pool, sauna, steam room, hot tubs, hydrotherapy pool, treatment rooms and a gym, all set amidst vaulted ceilings and exposed brickwork. Very nice.
Brighton Harbour Hotel and Spa is less than 15 minutes walk from Brighton train station, only 50 minutes by train from London Victoria, and 40 minutes drive to Gatwick Airport. Free parking can be arranged close by, subject to prior arrangement.
