Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower
With a unique heritage setting and staggering views across the Solent, Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower makes a very special and atmospheric backdrop to events for up to 180 guests. This is hard to beat for meetings and conferences, product launches, team building and training days, and awards ceremonies. The venue is perfect for weddings, parties, drinks receptions and celebration events.
Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower stands in Priddy’s Hard waterfront heritage site in Gosport, built as a fort in the 1750’s, later used as an armaments depot for the Royal Navy. It’s part of The National Museum of the Royal Navy whose main site in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is just a short boat ride away. The NMRN sets out the incredible history of the Royal Navy right from its start to the present day and offers one-of-a-kind event venues throughout the UK.
This beautiful Georgian building held 4,500 barrels of gunpowder back in the day; now it’s got a new lease of life staging unforgettable events for 180 guests standing, and 150 for conferences and dining. The red brick interior with a vaulted ceiling and original wooden floors can be used along with the Camber Basin for registrations and receptions.
AV equipment and catering can be arranged as required, there’s a bar, music licence and outside space. Exclusive wedding hire gives you a blank canvas to create the setting of your dreams with wonderful photo opportunities inside and out.
