Freight Island

In the heart of Manchester’s Depot Mayfield, Freight Island brings you several very unique spaces for meetings and events for up to 2,000 people. This former freight depot has been given a whole new lease of life as a cultural hub for food, drink and entertainment; it’s where the cool cats hang out so if you want an event with a different kind of vibe book a space here for Awards Ceremonies, Banqueting & Dining, Concert or Music Events, Parties, Photoshoots & Filming and Product Launches.

With a backdrop of historic industrial architecture, the feels are upbeat and vibrant at Freight Depot. Hire the entire place for events for up to 2,000, or book the mammoth Ticket Hall inside the former railway station. The Platform has its own stage, bar and dressing rooms and has capacity for up to 500, as does the Outdoor space, which offers heaps of possibilities with adjoining rooms.

With a private entrance and bar, the fully covered and heated Plant Room is an urban tropical oasis for 250 guests, or with room for 100, The Terrace has views over The Ticket Hall. For smaller events and private dining, The Club Container and The Viewing Gallery both hold 30.

The events team will deftly organise and run things for you, there’s superspeedy Wi-Fi, cutting-edge AV equipment arranged to suit, and a range of food options on site. There are 3 car parks close by and Piccadilly station is just a 2-minute saunter away.
