The Spitfire Ground
In the heart of Canterbury, The Spitfire Ground is a leading Kent conference and events venue with capacity for up to 250 delegates for business meetings and events and for weddings and social occasions.
The St Lawrence Ground has been home to Kent County Cricket Club since 1847and with pitch views and excellent facilities, provides the perfect setting for South East exhibitions, conferences, product launches, awards ceremonies, team building days, training workshops, networking receptions, gala dinners and smaller executive meetings.
The venue has 5 events spaces for hire and 5 executive boxes. The biggest space is the Harris Room with capacity for 250 people theatre style and for a reception, 200 dining, or 180 in cabaret layout. Next up, The Chiesman Pavilion, holds 220 people theatre style, 200 for drinks, or 160 in cabaret set up or dining. The slightly smaller Cornwallis Room accommodates 180 theatre style, 150 for a reception, or 120 for a banquet, and The Spitfire Bar holds 150 for cocktails. For smaller meetings and hospitality there are 2 meeting rooms and an Executive Box for up to 30, 1 box for 20 and 3 boxes for 10 guests.
The Spitfire Ground has break out rooms, up-to the-minute AV equipment and complimentary Wi-Fi. There’s a dedicated events team on hand to help plan and over see your event, and high-quality catering from in-house chefs.
