The Guildhall - York Conferences and Events

In the heart of the city, overlooking the River Ouse, The Guildhall York is a Grade I and II listed landmark venue that makes a unique and unforgettable backdrop to all kinds of business meetings and events, parties and celebrations for up to 270 guests. Historic features combine with modern facilities for the most perfect conferences, exhibitions, training days, awards ceremonies, banquets, networking receptions, and more intimate meetings. Fully restored in 2022, the event space at The Guildhall York consists of a Main Hall, Council Chamber, and Riverside Lounge, with several rooms available for smaller meetings and breakouts. The Main Hall is atmospheric and so beautiful, with stained glass and a striking wooden ceiling; it holds 270 for a reception, 200 in theatre style, or 120 for a banquet, dinner-dance or in cabaret layout. The Council Chamber has fixed seating for 54 and a viewing gallery that seats 41 – perfect for lectures and conferences.

The Riverside Lounge has a more modern feel and is ideal for smaller meetings for 30 standing or in theatre style, or for 24 dining or in cabaret layout. To give an idea of the smaller spaces, Committee Room 1 seats 16 in boardroom configuration. The venue has high speed Wi-Fi, cutting edge AV technology and award-winning on-site catering.
