voco™ St David's Cardiff is an outstanding contemporary setting for any conference, product launch, awards ceremony, training day, or presentation, with that waterfront location really coming into its own for team building events, with water-based activities available, and for alfresco dining and summer barbecue parties. The 8 flexible event rooms all have their own adjoining outdoor space and amazing views over Cardiff Bay, and all are air conditioned with heaps of natural daylight.
The Dylan Thomas Suite has capacity for up to 400 guests at a cocktail reception, or 270 for a theatre style awards ceremony. It has its own reception area and can be divided into two smaller spaces with capacity for 200 or 100 people standing, and 120 or 90 seated. The Roald Dahl Suite holds 220 delegates in theatre style or 250 for a standing buffet; again, there’s a pre-function area, and this room can also be partitioned into two smaller event spaces holding up to 60 or 80 guests standing and maximum numbers of 60 seated. For smaller meetings, training sessions and conferences, the Penarth Suite has capacity for 40 delegates standing and 30 seated, and 3 Syndicate Rooms hold 8-12 executives for discreet meetings and interviews.
The conference centre has a private entrance making it ideal for events where branding is key and as you’d expect, there’s superfast complimentary wifi, the latest technology plus in-house audiovisual support, and you’ll be looked after by an experienced events manager. Food will be top notch, whether it’s a conference buffet, canapes and champagne on the deck, a sunny BBQ, or a lavish evening banquet.
Your overnight guests should sleep peacefully in any of the 142 guest bedrooms; huge comfy beds and fabulous contemporary interiors, with sumptuous fabrics giving a one-off finish. There’s a Restaurant and a Bar, and a very indulgent Spa. Just two hours from London and with good access to major transport routes, the hotel has on-site parking for several vehicles.
