The Old Thameside Inn
It’s down to London Bridge for this traditional British pub with lashings of character and exciting history. It’s inviting and friendly and makes an upbeat venue for any networking or drinks reception, buffet, or private dinner, and for all kinds of business meetings and events.
The Old Thameside Inn has the exciting history of being an old spice warehouse, and it’s right opposite a full-scale replica of Sir Francis Drakes flagship, the Golden Hind; out the back are the remains of Winchester Palace, once the seat of Cardinal Wolsey. It’s a relaxing place to be with the interiors adding to the ambience; note the huge beams, centuries old brickwork, soft lighting, and old rugs on flagstone floors.
The Cellar Bar is perfect for drinks receptions and parties for 150 people, for dinners and sit-down buffets for 80, or for meetings and conferences for 75. The Terrace, overlooking the Thames, is the perfect spot for receptions and parties on balmy summer evenings, or for seated events for 90. Your guests can take their pick from the impressive selection of real ales and wines, and they can tuck into top quality pub nosh, created by chefs who are passionate about using fresh, seasonal produce. The fare is British favourites, but as it’s also a speciality Pie House why not go with that – Venison, Mushroom & Red Wine, Chunky Picalilli & Pulled Ham Hock …. bring a different flavour to your event.
The team at the Old Thameside Inn will help to pull off a memorable event, and you should take advantage of the excellent day delegate rates; they include complimentary wifi, a projector and screen, flipchart, pens and paper, refreshments and a buffet lunch.
In short, a great venue in a great location within easy walking distance of London Bridge tube station.
