The Washington Mayfair

An Art Deco exterior, sumptuous contemporary interiors, and a fashionable Mayfair location for this 4-star hotel. There are 6 meeting rooms at the Washington Mayfair Hotel; the Madison’s is the biggest, encompassing the hotel bar, lounge and restaurant as one private hire space holding 300 people standing and 200 seated. The Lower Madison’s at the back of the hotel is flooded with natural daylight from a wall of full height windows and can accommodate 150 guests standing and 110 seated.

The ash panelled Richmond Suite has capacity for 120 standing and 110 seated in theatre style or 70 for a banquet; there are drop down screens to each end and lighting that replicates natural daylight and can be modified to bring mood to evening events. Divide the Richmond in two and you have the Winchester Suite which holds 60 people for a reception and 50 seated in theatre style, and for smaller private dinners and executive meetings, the Fairfax, comfortably holding 40 standing or seated.

The George Washington Suite is the hotel’s signature suite, with a bedroom, lounge and dining room; it comes into its own for those more discreet meetings and private lunches or dinners for up to 16 guests standing or 10 seated. A penthouse suite on the 7th floor, the Woodrow Wilson, offers similar space for up to six executives. For small informal meetings get settled on one of the stylish red leather sofas in the open plan lobby; an elegant space reminiscent of the Art Deco period.

The hotel puts a big emphasis on bespoke events; cutting edge audio-visual equipment can be tailored to your needs and you’ll be offered a range of menus for refreshments, breakfasts, working lunches, dinners, banquets and cocktails. All will be overseen by experienced events staff, so you can be sure of no hitches.

There are 178 bedrooms and suites finished in warm relaxing tones, with plush fabrics. Madison’s Restaurant offers all day dining with a very eclectic menu, and Madison’s Bar is the perfect place to unwind after a focused days’ conference, with a cocktail or a bar snack.
