Birmingham Council House boasts high speed internet access and state of the art AV technology to facilitate the perfect 21st century event with a backdrop of historical elegance. The Banqueting Suite is divine, extending almost the entire length of the Council House; as a whole it measures 4,695 square feet and holds 450 people for a reception and 350 for dinner, or 200 for a seated buffet. It divides into three separate spaces, each equally impressive - the Central Reception Area, the Banqueting Room and the Drawing Room.
The Banqueting Room alone covers 1,860 square feet and accommodates 250 guests for a drinks reception, 200 sat in theatre style, up to 150 for a gala dinner, 80 for a buffet, and 50 for a board meeting. The Drawing Room is slightly smaller with capacity for a reception for 200 and dinner for 150, and the reception area is ideal for smaller lunches and dinners for 50. The Chamberlain Room is perfect for smaller conferences, board meetings and intimate dinners, or use it as break out space to a bigger event held in the Banqueting Suite; it holds 45 delegates in theatre style, 40 dining and 22 in boardroom configuration.
The Council Chamber is a wondrous space with carved wooden panels and painted screens. This semi-circular room has fixed tiered seating for 145 including 5 rostrum seats, plus 90 seats within the public gallery. High spec audio visual equipment makes it perfect for presentations, conferences, AGM’s and seminars.
