The Bond

The Bond sees a cool and collected reinvention of a landmark building beside the Grand Union Canal in the heart of Digbeth, once the industrial heartland of Birmingham and just a short stroll from the city centre. With capacity for up to 300 guests this is an upbeat venue for all kinds of business meetings and events, and a very distinctive backdrop to wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties, photoshoots, and filming.

The Bond comes with stacks of style and history; behind the Victorian red-brick exterior are interiors where less is definitely more – think raw and slightly edgy, with exposed brick walls, wooden floors, cast iron pillars and modern artworks. Let’s just say a generous helping of urban cool sets the scene for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, board meetings, training and team building days, awards ceremonies, drinks receptions and banquets.

Of the 4 event spaces, the biggest is The Canopy, a canalside terrace with room for 300 for drinks and up to 250 seated; imagine that in the summer! Next up, The Gatehouse is a self-contained former warehouse overlooking The Bond’s own private wharf; it holds 160 standing and 80 in theatre style. For smaller meetings and private dining, The Grand Union Room seats 16 and the Ice House Boardroom 10.

The attentive events team will help with theming, arranging AV equipment and catering, and you’ll have reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. There are car parks within easy walking distance of The Bond; Moor Street and New Street train stations are around 10 minutes’ walk away.
