Cutlers Hall is hailed as one of the finest livery halls in the North of England and it’s easy to see why – this Grade II listed building just exudes grandeur with palatial architecture, beautiful decorative ceilings, heritage colours and gilt décor, sparkling chandeliers; no wonder so many people want to get married here.
Greet your guests at the foot of the wide staircase with its ornate balustrade and lead them up to the Main Hall which seats 500 guests in theatre style, or 350 seated for dinner. Also on the first floor is the Old Banqueting Hall, accommodating 300 delegates in theatre style or 130 for a lavish feast, and the Drawing Room, holding 150 people in theatre style or for a networking reception, and 100 dining. The slightly smaller but just as gorgeous Reception Room has capacity for 100 guests in theatre style or for a standing reception, and for 50 for a banquet. On the ground floor is the opulent Hadfield Hall – an awe-inspiring setting for a theatre style awards presentation for 200 delegates, a dinner for the same number of guests, or a very sociable reception for 400. The Hall itself measures 336 square metres and the balcony, 42 square metres.
Cutlers Hall offers day delegate packages to include complimentary wifi, refreshments, a working lunch and the services of an experienced and dedicated event manager. All food is freshly prepared by the in-house catering team, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. First rate audiovisual equipment can be arranged to suit your event.
The venue is located on Church Street, just 800 metres from Sheffield’s Midland station. The nearest car park is just a few minutes’ walk away, with discounted rates for 24-hour delegates. There are some very good hotels in the city, within easy walking distance.

Our flexible spaces mean we can accommodate anything from an intimate private dining event, to a dinner for up to 420 guests.
Our in house catering team lovingly prepare all the food onsite using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible for our seasonal menus. We are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements or even create a bespoke menu to cater for your individual vision. Cutlers’ Hall offers a unique combination of a historical setting but also provides excellent facilities for modern business requirement. The majestic Main Hall, which can hold upto 500 delegates will be ideal setting for next conference in Sheffield.

The Cutlers’ Hall is without question one of the most romantic wedding venues in Sheffield.
We are a licensed wedding venue with a choice of five elegantly decorated rooms each of which are ideal to host any aspect of your special day.Our Reception Room is perfect for an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 80 guests, whilst the Old Banqueting Hall can cater for up to 120 guests, and the Main Hall can cater for over 200 guests.
Our Grade II listed building is the perfect setting for those memorable images, with the Grand Staircase being a particular favourite of many of our previous wedding couples. Photo opportunities are in abundance throughout the building, and the famous Winter Gardens, or beautiful Peace Gardens are just a five minute walk away.
Our wedding packages have been created with our clients in mind ensuring your special day is as stress free as possible. However, if you prefer a bespoke package, we are more than happy to help. Your dedicated wedding planner at the venue will be available every step of the way, working with you to add those special little touches to make your day perfect.
