Convenient, traditional, good quality for money; all good reasons to choose the Plough and Harrow Hotel for your next business meeting or event. Located in Edgbaston, close to Birmingham city centre, the red brick Victorian architecture, large lawns and attractive gardens bring history and character to your event. The Plough and Harrow was a popular hotel in its 1980’s heyday and is undergoing continued renovation to restore it to bring it up to date, with a boutiquey edge.

The 7 meeting rooms are bright and cheerful with plenty of natural daylight and complimentary internet access – with a maximum capacity of 150 guests that pretty much covers conferences, seminars, training sessions, presentations, board meetings, wedding receptions and dinners. A helpful team will work hard to ensure the success of your event and there are delegate packages starting at very reasonable rates, to include refreshments and a choice of lunches, flipchart, notepads and pens, and an LCD projector and screen.

The largest room, the Calthorpe seats up to 100 delegates in theatre style or 60 in cabaret layout and The Terrace Restaurant also seats 100 guests in theatre style, or can host 150 for a standing reception. Going down in size, The Bournville Room can accommodate 50 people seated or 60 standing, and the Hagley and Warwick make a great choice for smaller executive meetings for up to 20. With a maximum capacity of 12 delegates, the Edgbaston and the Harrow are ideal for those more intimate board meetings and interviews where a degree of discretion is required. The hotel also has lots of outdoor space for team building activities, or for alfresco events in the warmer weather – perhaps a cocktail reception or a buffet on the terrace.

Should delegates require an overnight stay, there are 44 good sized en suite guest rooms spread over three floors in the original house and in a modern wing. Most take in views of the garden and standard are 32” LCD TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, and complimentary toiletries.

There is a lounge bar and a traditional pub styled Beauforts Bar which offers an extensive range of cocktails, gins and wines and an interesting ‘small plates’ menu. They even do Gin Tasting and Cocktail Classes, an exciting reward for your hard workers! The Terrace Restaurant offers an A La Carte menu and the hotel is proud of its great choice of afternoon teas.

The Plough and Harrow Hotel has parking for 90 vehicles, and is easily reached from the M5 and the M6.
